MKin, CEP, CSCS Director of Sport Sciences Shane has worked alongside many of the world’s best strength coaches and he has established himself as a leader in his field. Shane holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from UBC, and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Calgary. Shane’s extensive experience in the coaching field has been highlighted by stops at 2 National Sports Institutes (Canada and Malaysia) as well as being a testing specialist for the Calgary Flames and Hockey Canada. Shane’s clients include Olympians, NHL and pro hockey players, junior athletes from all sports, and active lifestyle clients. Shane is currently the strength coach for the Okanagan College Coyotes Ice Hockey team, the UBC-O Heat Basketball & Volleyball teams, The Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy, The Pinnacle Okanagan Major Midget Rockets and the Fripp Warehousing Tier 1 Junior Rockets Midget hockey team.
Shane regularly conducts lectures on strength and conditioning around the Okanagan as he believes that the proliferation of knowledge will enable people to make more meaningful decisions regarding their health & performance. Director of Endurance Sciences
Leanne specializes in performance coaching for endurance athletes. She has helped athletes of all levels, from entry level youth and age-group triathletes, to professional and national ranked cyclists, swimmers, runners, and triathletes, achieve their highest levels of performance.
Leanne received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, one of the most respected certifications for strength training available, and is also a Competition Level Triathlon Coach from the National Coaching Certification Program. She recently attended the 2010 BC Summer Games as a Head Coach for the Okanagan Region. As a competitive triathlete, Leanne has participated in a variety of triathlon events from Olympic to Ironman distance. She has placed in the top ten in her age group at the Canadian National Triathlon Championships. She is recognized as a coach who can swim, cycle, and run alongside her athletes to push them to higher levels.

Performance Enhancement Coach
Dan is a sports enthusiast who enjoys playing soccer, golf, snowboarding, and everything in between. Dan graduated with his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from the University of Calgary. Upon returning to Kelowna, he found home in Pinnacle Elite Athlete's training centre. With widespread knowledge about the science and physiology behind strength and conditioning, he seeks to push the limits of all his clients. Dan has a passion for how the body performs, and he continually implements new training techniques to give his clients the edge they need to succeed.
Recently, Dan has worked with groups such as Kelowna United Soccer, Kelowna Heat Fast Pitch, UBC-O Basketball and Volleyball, and the Okanagan Sun Football, as well as dryland training for hockey schools. Dan understands the biomechanics and physical demands of all sports, and is eager to take your game to the next level. He is currently studying to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Performance Enhancement Coach Brandon is a student in the School of Human Kinetics at UBC-O. He is a certified BCRPA trainer who has experienced the thrill of encouraging participants with his personal one-on-one coaching style and his ability to build group dynamics to gain confidence and strength allowing them to perform at their highest levels. Brandon's passion lies in the sport of Triathlon. The high standards at which he holds himself to is passed along to all of his clients. Coaching Prime Power Cycling classes and Strength Training for Cyclists and Runners are two of the areas Brandon has helped athletes succeed. His infectious smile and enthusiasm for hard work will make the difference in your training success. Brandon has also successfully trained clients for the PARE testing in the police services.

BSc. Kinesiology-Exercise Science
Jeannette was born and raised in Kelowna. She graduated from Okanagan Mission Secondary School where she enjoyed playing many sports including volleyball, basketball, cross country and track & field. She continues to be very involved in sports today.
Soccer has always been her true passion, playing since the age of 5, on community, select and provincial teams. Jeannette attended California State University Fresno with a soccer scholarship, playing as goalkeeper for the NCAA Div 1 Bulldogs for four years, winning two conference titles.
She graduated Magna Cum Lade (with high honours) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and has since completed her Pre-Med requirements at UBCO.
Coaching has always been a highlight in Jeannette's life, first coaching at the age of 16. She has coached volleyball, basketball, and soccer. She is currently the assistant coach for the UBCO Heat Women's Soccer Team, as well as being a goalkeeper coach for Kelowna United Soccer, coaching keepers between the ages of 9-20 years. She is currently studying to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
If she is not on the field coaching or in the training centre working with our athletes, you can find her as a Kinesiologist at the Pinnacle Sports Physiotherapy Clinic on Richter St., Kelowna.

Performance Enhancement Coach
Born and raised in Kelowna, Jon has his Bachelor of Kinesiology in Exercise and Health Physiology from the University of Calgary. As the former Strength and Conditioning Director at the Shawnessy YMCA in Calgary, Jon has led amateur and experienced athletes to train effectively and purposefully.
After 15 years of competitive volleyball, including playing professionally and coaching at both semi-professional and U18 levels, Jon brings a wealth of athletic and coaching experience to Pinnacle Elite Athlete.
Jon continues to expand his knowledge and understanding of strength and conditioning, while exploring new avenues to create the best possible training plans for his clients.

Performance Enhancement Coach
Ben was born in Vancouver, BC but spent most of his early school years in Victoria. He moved to Kelowna prior to middle school and eventually graduated from Okanagan Mission Secondary School. Ben has played many sports throughout his life including Football, Soccer, Hockey, Basketball, Rugby, Volleyball and Track & Field. Ben continues to play competitive Football today as a wide receiver for the Okanagan Sun, one of the top junior football programs in Canada.
Ben is enrolled in the Bachelor of Human Kinetics program at UBC-O. In addition, he is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP), the most respected governing body in Canada.
Ben is dedicated to creating an atmosphere in which all can enhance their performance and improve their health and well-being. "Exercise is a natural medication. We all should find a way to enjoy it."
Andrew LoCurto BKin, CSEP-CPT
Performance Enhancement Coach
From Toronto Ontario, Andrew graduated from York University's Kinesiology and Health Science Program. Growing up on the ice, Andrew has 18 years of competitive hockey behind him. This includes 5 years at the AAA levels as well as experience playing at the Junior A level. He also enjoyed one season playing roller hockey for the France National 1 level team.
His coaching background extends to both the men's and women's high school junior volleyball teams, a high school junior boy's hockey team, as well as Assistant Coach and Head Trainer for a Bantam AA boys ice hockey team.
Andrew continues to see the most effective training methods to help keep his athletes and clients performing their best.
Randy Goodman BSc.PT, Dip.Sports PT
![]() International Sport Physiotherapist Randy has 20 years experience as an international sport physiotherapist. As well as covering over 35 National and International sporting events as a physiotherapist, Randy is the manager of the Rehabilitation Center in the Athlete’s village for the 2010 Olympics. He is an examiner and instructor for Sport Physiotherapy Canada, an Assistant Clinical Professor at UBC and has lectured throughout North America on sport physiotherapy.
Roy Gillespie BSc.PT, CAFCI Physiotherapist and Biomechanical Analysis expert Roy graduated from Dalhousie University in 1988. He has been the Head Physiotherapist for the Okanagan Sun Jr. football Team for 5 years. He is a biomechanical expert in the use of computerized biomechanical systems such as Dartfish and APAS. He has consulted with numerous Canadian National athletes as well as the US Track and Field Team. He has worked as a physiotherapist for the Canadian Freestyle Team, Canadian Women’s U-20 Soccer Team, and national and provincial karate, field hockey, volleyball and triathlon organizations.
Jen Podovennikoff BSc. Dietetics Dietician and Sport Nutritionist Jen completed her Bachelor of Nutritional Science – Dietetics Major at U of A in Edmonton. She conducted the practical internship program under the Interior Health Authority. She has a special interest in sports nutrition – working with athletes to optimize their nutrition for peak performance. She is presently completing her IOC certification in Sport nutrition, the highest level of international certification for sport dieticians.
Rod Belinski BEd. Community Coach Liason, Education Coordinator Rod taught Physical Education in School Distinct #23 for 33 years. Rod's life has been dedicated to sport and athlete development. Rod also played volleyball, soccer and basketball at the college level and major men's fastball after university. Although involved as a coach in many different sports, Rod's main area of coaching was volleyball. In 20 years at the high school level Rod's teams advanced to Provincial Championships 19 times and winning 14 medals, five of them gold. Rod also coached at Okanagan University College and Canada Games volleyball for a number of years. While still involved with coaching and organizing events, Rod is a consultant for Pinnacle Elite Athlete. Rod helps educate athletes about the leading edge training that Pinnacle Elite Athlete. Rod’s expertise helps to coordinate all levels of an athlete’s development; from sport coaches to community and post-secondary contacts.
